I’ve always been intrigued by the concept of intermittent fasting. It seemed like a simple yet effective way to improve my overall health. The idea of giving my body a break from constant eating and allowing it to focus on other functions was appealing. However, I’d never been disciplined enough to stick to a strict fasting schedule.
Until now.
Recently, I’ve been experimenting with a modified intermittent fasting plan. I’ve started fasting from 6 PM to 12 PM, which has been surprisingly easy to maintain. This small change has already made a noticeable difference in my energy levels and overall well-being.
One of the reasons I’ve decided to try intermittent fasting is to support my recovery from a recurring shoulder injury. I’m also embarking on a new fitness journey after gaining weight during a period of inactivity. Intermittent fasting can help boost metabolism and aid in weight loss, which is exactly what I need right now.
I’ve actually tried a similar approach years ago when I was working out intensely. Back then, I would often do one meal a day without even realizing the benefits of intermittent fasting. It was a lifestyle choice, not a conscious decision. However, I did notice that I felt more energized and focused.
As a vegan, I’ve always been mindful of my diet. Even though I eat plant-based foods, it’s easy to overeat, especially when you’re training hard. That’s why I’m also making an effort to shift my focus towards more fruits and vegetables. I believe that a balanced and nutrient-rich diet is essential for overall health and well-being.
The journey to wellness is never-ending. It’s a continuous process of learning, experimenting, and making adjustments. Intermittent fasting has been a valuable tool for me, and I’m excited to see the long-term benefits.
